Problem:
I have a Topdon ArtiDiag800 BT that I haven’t used in a while and now it won’t power on at all. I figured the battery is probably dead so I tried plugging it in with the provided USB cable to let it charge, I don’t get any lights or indicators that it is charging. Has anyone run into an issue where the battery is completely dead and it will no longer even try to charge?
Try a couple of things that may help revive the battery.
First, please try this:
Use the original charger and cable to charge the device for at least 2 hours. Then press and hold the power button for about 30 seconds without releasing it.
If the device still doesn’t power on, please try the second method.
Battery activation attempt:
Plug in the charger and charge for about 3 minutes
Unplug and reconnect the charger
Continue charging for another 5 minutes
If a charging icon appears, it means the battery has been activated again. (This method usually works when the current exceeds 100 mA.)
If the issue still persists, could you please record a short video showing the problem and also share the device serial number (SN) with us. That will help us check it further for you.
