Problem:
Looking a bit more information on remote programming.
We have a Topdon Phoenix Smart and today we installed a used steering rack on a 2018 Vauxhall but were unable to program the vin into the used rack ECU. Is there something can be done remotely and what Rlink pass-through do I need to buy?
Here is the clue.
This is an MDCI PRO with drastically different hardware. You will need to buy and RLink Lite separate to accomplish remote programming or a Phoenix Remote/ Phoenix MAX to place remote orders.
The issue can be resolved through remote programming, but it requires confirmation with the dealer’s experts whether there is relevant software to solve it.
You need to purchase RLink Lite for remote processing, but RLink remote processing is done by adding experts from the dealer.
Also, RLink Lite currently only supports remote diagnosis in Europe (excluding Eastern Europe), the United States. Other regions are temporarily not supported due to the lack of servers.
