Problem:
Topdon Phoenix Max all of a sudden the MDCI doesn’t connect via Bluetooth. The Bluetooth in the tablet works be issue I can connect to other devices. The blue icon on the mdci doesn’t come on. How to fix?
Solution:
Update the MDCI via power and Ethernet directly.
If you still cannot connect with Bluetooth, the Bluetooth chip inside the MDCI may have failed. However, the Max does support WiFi connection for the MDCI which is actually superior. So, if you are still within the warranty period, you can file a warranty support ticket and in the meantime use the MDCI in WiFi mode with the max. (The tool has dual WiFi antennas, so your internet will also still work).
Go directly with Ethernet and make sure Bluetooth is still an option on the scanner itself for it as well.
Feedback:
After the update directly the Bluetooth function seems to be working now.
