Problem:
Tried to diagnose a 2025 Nissan Rogue Rock Creek edition using Topdon ArtiDiag 600S diagnostic scanner. Computer reading VIN number correctly, but I can’t diagnose nothing because only thing I’m getting is message “Failed to decode VIN number”. No problem with different cars. Any solution?
Here is the clue.
Only support Nissan up to 2023.
Newer Nissans have the security module gateway like dodge.
Try to manually identify the vehicle. You will also need to unlock the gateway on that vehicle, most likely, which would require a subscription with AutoAuth for Nissan.
For a 2025 vehicle, this situation is usually related to gateway access restrictions. In many newer models, certain diagnostic functions are locked behind the gateway. You can do this either via AutoAuth or directly through the Nissan gateway unlock option in Topdon device’s store.
