After the software update expires, new versions released afterward cannot be updated (software released before the expiration can still be downloaded normally).
Online functions will be restricted (such as online programming, online coding, online calibration, and some vehicle diagnostics and special functions).
Other non-online functions can still be used normally. Also, the exact process depends on whether your vehicle supports offline diagnostics.
Newer model years may require an internet connection to perform certain functions.
