Problem:
A user got a Topdon Phoenix Plus 2 scanner with the MDCI VCI. He wants to use the MDCI with windows to connect with forscan. He read that it will be possible but I get no connection to windows, there is no driver for the MDCI and also the R-Link platform did not get any connection to my interface. Also J2534 does not work. Where to get a driver for the MDCI or does not work with the Phoenix MDCI?
Here is the clue.
Just a heads-up: in the Phoenix line, only the Phoenix Smart and Phoenix Max (with MDCI Pro) support PC connection (can be used as J2534 passthru device for OEM programming), and exclusively for original factory programming.
If your device is the Phoenix Plus 2, its MDCI won’t be able to use as J2534 device for Forscan.
Get a Topdon Rlink X7 or Rlink J2534 instead.
